St Matthew’s National School organised a Children’s Poster Competition for National Car Free Day which was judged by John Gormley TD of the Green Party with the prizes sponsored by Dublin City Council. John Gormley said: “This is a brilliant initiative. Ms. Watson and everyone involved deserve great credit as does Dublin City Council for sponsoring the prizes. The children really did a great job in presenting art conveying the message that pollution from cars is bad for the environment. I look forward to a day when every day might be a car free day.”
