A great deal of work has taken place in Ringsend Park over the last three years and on 6 September the re-opening of the Park took place officially. This has been a collaborative effort with support from local residents, community and sporting groups, Dublin City Council, An Garda Siochana, the Dublin Docklands Authority and the Department of Education (see photo below).

A new playground, floodlit all-weather seven-a-side pitches, a multi-play area which can be used for basketball, five-a-side football, tennis courts and training are all part of the new development.
