The equivalent weight of four male elephants is now received each week in clothing by Enable Ireland.
Enable Ireland Disability Services is urging the people of Dublin to continue to use trademark yellow and red textile bins in order to save cash, help the environment and contribute to the provision of services for people with disabilities.

Clothes production can be a strain on the environment. Chemicals are involved in the bleaching, dyeing and other finishing stages and production is energy and water intensive. This means we should all be conscious of reusing and recycling our textiles. Enable Ireland can take care of both. Enable Ireland reuse what you don’t want by selling it in some of their 19 retail outlets, and recycle the rest.

Whether you have unwanted Christmas gifts or unused clothes, drop them to your nearest red and yellow Enable Ireland Clothing Bank and you will be doing your bit for the environment, contributing to services for over 3,300 adults and children with disabilities in Ireland, and saving money on refuse charges.
