Ringsend and Irishtown Youth Project have had a very busy start to the New Year.
Ringers First Year (RFY) are taking part in a citizenship programme where they have decided to clean up the beaches in their area.

They are also currently carrying out a project for the international food fair which will be held in the Department of Education on Tuesday February 26th. The project is based around new communities and people from other countries living in the area. The group chose to do their project on Poland.

Legends of Ringer are taking part in a Health and Fitness programme alongside Dan Russell, Sports Development officer for DCC. We were lucky enough to get a new drama teacher for the 10+ group and they have been going from strength to strength each week. The DJ group went bag packing in Tesco in Sandymount to help fund their new DJ equipment. The Young Women’s group have been busy on programmes around personal development.
The February mid-term saw every group getting the chance to go horse riding in Fettercairn where they received a lesson in horse riding and in horse care. It was a fun packed week. Well done to all the young people who took part.

Look out all young people from Ringsend and Irishtown aged 10-18 for the up and coming Splash Week which will be happening in the Easter Holidays. Posters and date of registration will be displayed around the area soon. Keep your eyes peeled.
