LOCALS CONTINUE TO RESIST INCINERATOR FOR DUBLIN BAY

On December 13th 2007, Local resident Maria Parodi, pictured above with Cllr. Kevin Humphreys, organised a Pub Quiz opposing the proposed Dublin Incinerator that is to be located on the Poolbeg Peninsula. The Anti-Incinerator event was an effort to create awareness and raise some funds in aid of CRAI. Maria would like to thank members of the local community who were able to attend and demonstrate there on-going support to the campaign against the Incinerator.

Maria also wanted to thank all the local businesses in the area that made donations. Including the Mount Herbert Hotel, Bahay Kubo, Milano’s, Mario’s, Mira Mira, Clyne’s Butchers, Shelbourne Pharmacy, Sandymount Pharmacy, Glo, Books on the Green, Butler’s Pantry, Serena and Tesco Merrion Centre. A special thanks to the Vintage Inn Pub, Quiz master Paddy Walsh and all those that assisted in making the night a success.
