Ringsend Community
Services Forum
launched their directory
of services on December 7th
last. The directory was launched
in Irishtown Stadium and the
place was buzzing as over 200
people attended.
Minister John Gormley officially
launched the directory.
Other speakers included Deputy
Lord Mayor Kevin Humphreys,
Chris Andrews TD, and
Colm Brown representing the
S.I.C.L.D.T.F. All the speakers
applauded the forumʼs efforts
and continuing work.
Teresa Rooney (Forum Development
Worker) opened the
event, paying special tribute to
all the groups for participating
in this valuable piece of work.
All the community groups
had welcomed the opportunity
to share information. Teresa
acknowledged the tremendous
amount of voluntary work put
in by local group members, providing
vital support services to
the community in a time of recession
and cutbacks.
Derek Bowden (Chairperson)
thanked our public representatives,
Gardaí, Sports Development
Officers, the management
and staff of Irishtown Stadium
and DCC for their on-going
support for the Forum and our
local area. He thanked staff
members for their remarkable
work and dedication in creating
