WHEEL SUPPORT FOR CHARITIES

BT AND THE WHEEL ROLL OUT CHARITY MEMBERSHIPS IN DUBLIN

BT has joined forces with the umbrella body for charities, The Wheel, to launch their ‘Member Sponsorship Programme’ which will see BT provide charities in Dublin with free membership to The Wheel.

The Wheel is a support and representative organisation for the community, voluntary and charitable sector in Ireland. Member charities are offered training and advice to help them run their organisations more effectively.
A major element of the partnership between BT and The Wheel will focus on the information and communication technology element highlighting to each group the help with ICT training and support when they sign up.

The Anchorage Project based in Ringsend, Dublin is the first charity to be selected for free membership under the ‘Member Sponsorship Programme’. The Anchorage Project is a charity that serves the local community, while at the same time helping various communities in the developing world.

The activities operating at the project are biased towards young people, families, the elderly, and children with additional needs and they include clubs, childcare facilities, animal units, a garden and a greenhouse.
