LAUNCH OF DUBLIN CITY FM
Dublin City fm was officially launched by Dublin's Lord Mayor, Cllr. Paddy Bourke recently and the event was broadcast live on 103.2fm. Originally known as Anna Livia, the station is now 15 years old. In that time Dublin has changed and the relevance of the name faded as the city became more culturally diverse. The station reflects that ethnic and cultural diversity by broadcasting special interest programmes for the Polish, Russian, Chinese and Pakistani communities. Dublin City fm is on air for nineteen hours each day (7am to 2am) and is completely staffed by volunteers. It holds the only special interest licence in the country, and broadcasts the LiveDrive programme from the Dublin Traffic Control Centre daily. |
