WATER CONSERVATION IN SCHOOLS IS CHILD'S PLAY

“Children appreciate the value of water as a scarce resource, when they are told about it,” says Mr John Gormley, TD, Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government. The 'Conserve Water in Schools' programme aims to empower school children of all ages to take responsibility for their own water consumption, and that of their school, by challenging them to carry out a water audit in their own school and devise ways to reduce both water usage and water costs. Dublin City Council's campaign is aimed at school management too and lists the kind of things they can do to reduce water wastage in their school.”
