The exhibition is a unique opportunity to highlight Irish art to a European audience during Ireland's presidency of the EU. The exhibition consists of 16 paintings, all acrylic on canvas, depicting streetscapes of Ireland. The streetscapes are of locations as diverse as Dublin, Drogheda, Waterford, Galway and Navan. Tony's father-in-law, Michael Whelan had travelled from Dublin, as did Simone Rapple. Aileen and Tommy McGauley and friends Mary and Bill Seery came from Wicklow, while Marianne Henry and Ciallian O'Foghlu represented Kildare. |
